Week 8 College Football Preview
“Is it possible to top last week?”
We learned a few things in week 7 of the college football schedule. We learned that Ohio State can still be the best team in the country even with a slight quarterback controversy. We learned that UVA can actually win a close game. Also, most importantly we learned from Michigan how NOT to punt the ball correctly. I honestly don’t know how week 8 can top it. Michael Brewer coming back and leading Virginia Tech to win against Duke would be a great start. So here is my 8th edition of the games I will be watching in college football this week.
Virginia Tech vs Duke
I am trying to be positive, I really am. This season is on a slippery slope. Virginia Tech is on the verge of losing season. This hasn’t happened in a long time. Normally, a game against Duke was a guaranteed win. Well, this was before Duke decided to go all successful on us. Virginia Tech needs this win, like I need stop watching the new Stars Wars trailer on repeat. I mean the plus is Michael Brewer is back. Perhaps he is the one that will bring balance to the season!
Virginia vs. North Carolina
Go Tarheels. That is all.
Texas A&M vs. Ole Miss
This is the only top 25 match up of week. Luckily, it’s a pretty good one, which is hard for me to say because I am not the biggest fan of the SEC. However if there are two SEC teams I can deal with it’s these two. I do like Ole Miss in this game. I think they collect themselves after their loss to Memphis. Texas A&M better be ready to play an angry team.
My College Playoff Prediction
We have reached the halfway point of the season. So I think I am finally ready to make a predication for who will be the top four teams to make the playoffs. So, anyone is a fan of these teams, I am sorry if I jinx them....but here it is:
- Ohio State (I mean this one is obvious)
- TCU (I like TCU over Baylor)
- LSU (Leonard Fournette....)
- Clemson ( I had to put an ACC team in there, and I can’t put FSU in there)
There you have it folks! That's your top 4 College Playoff teams. I've used the very scientific process of "who I think will be there" formula to determine the list.
